I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury to acknowledge the receipt of Ar Lucas' letter of the 22nd instant (39140/1902) informing Them by direction of Mr Secretary Chamberlain that the Supplemental Charter granted on the 1st instant to the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China has been communicated to your Department by the Bank and that the Governor of Hong Kong has been informed of its effect by telegraph .I am to enclose three copies of the Supplemental Charter, as desired, and to say that requests for any further copies should be made direct to the Privy Council Office.
